Paddy McGuinness 'leaning on Kirsty Gallacher' as pair grow closer after marriage breakdown

Paddy McGuiness is growing closer to pal Kirsty Gallacher following his split from ex-wife Christine McGuiness.

The former Take Me Out presenter was spotted enjoying a night out with the Scots media personality at the Ham Yard Hotel last week. Paddy, 49, and model Christine, 34, announced they were going their separate ways last July after 11 years of marriage and 15 years together.

The former couple share three children together - Leo Joseph and Penelope, both 9, and Felicity Rose, 7. Paddy and Kirsty have been close friends for a number of years, and would reportedly be open to things turning romantic in the future.

A source told OK! Magazine: "Paddy and Kirsty have known each other a long time and are good friends. They have a lot in common. They’re both single and have gone through marriage splits, Paddy more recently. Kirsty is a bit of a shoulder for him to lean on and she’s good at giving advice."

"For now, they’re just hanging out as friends and they’re not dating," they explained. "But who knows where it could go? Watch this space," they continued.

This comes after Kirsty recently revealed she was on the lookout for love following her split from her former rugby player husband of 16 years, Paul Sampson, in 2015. The former Sky Sports reporter said: "I’m currently dating! I’m not with anyone in particular right now, but I’m very open to something. That would be really lovely."

Kirsty - who shares sons Oscar, 15, and Jude, 12 with Paul - previously admitted she was a 'skinny' and 'anxious wreck' following their divorce. Speaking on the Power Of Ten podcast, she said: "I was a skinny, anxious wreck, traumatised because of lots of reasons around the divorce."
