TV stars Paddy and Christine McGuinness has been full of praise for Nottinghamshire's Sherwood Forest Center Parcs after their original planned holiday was cancelled at the last minute. The couple said they were supposed to be on a flight to Spain with their children but were instead forced to look elsewhere after realising that his daughter's passport had expired.
That didn't dampen any spirits however, as the family instead managed to bag the last available lodge at Center Parcs and booked their impromptu trip. The McGuinness family spent a week at the resort, explaining that his kids "absolutely loved it".
The former host of ITV's dating game show 'Take Me Out' said that the late change of plans was difficult, particularly for their children, but that the staff and activities at the resort now means that he and his family will be certainly be returning.

In an Instagram post on Friday, July 22, he said: "Yes! We finally got away for our family holiday! After discovering, 3 days before we were due to fly, our youngest daughters passport had expired, our holiday to Spain had to be cancelled.
"We’d been telling the kids all about it, especially the airport part, so to suddenly change plans wasn’t easy! Mums and dads with Autistic children will know exactly what I mean.
"Thankfully we got lucky and found the last available lodge at Center Parcs, I booked it straight away. It was a big tree house and the kids absolutely loved it!!!"
