The Green Bay Packers are headed to the United Kingdom during the 2022 season.
The team announced it will play an undisclosed opponent at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London at some point during the regular season next year.
The official date and opponent will be released as part of the NFL’s schedule release during the spring.
The Packers were the final team to play a game overseas as part of the NFL International Series.
“We’re very excited,” team president Mark Murphy said. “This is something I’ve heard from so many of our fans over the years, particularly those in Europe and particularly in London, ‘When are you gonna come? When are you gonna come?’ We’re really excited to be playing in London.”
The Packers will now play eight home games, eight away games and one neutral site game during the 2022 season. The team’s designated ninth home game was used on the trip to London.
In addition to the Packers, the New Orleans Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars will also host games in London in 2022.
The Packers have the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans as options on the home schedule in 2022.
