The Green Bay Packers selected Central Michigan running back Lew Nichols III at No. 235 overall in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL draft.
Nichols (5-10, 220) rushed for 3,061 yards and 26 touchdowns and caught 71 passes for 575 yards and three scores. He led the FBS in rushing yards (1,848) and all-purpose yards during the 2021 season.
Nichols missed games with a toe injury in 2022 and missed part of the pre-draft process with a hamstring injury.
Nichols will compete with Patrick Taylor and Tyler Goodson for the No. 3 running back spot behind Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon.
