The Green Bay Packers released kicker Parker White on Monday, leaving only one kicker on the offseason 90-man roster.
Rookie Anders Carlson, a sixth-round pick out of Auburn, is the lone remaining kicker in Green Bay. Mason Crosby remains unsigned.
The Packers released White to make room for running back Emanuel Wilson.
White, who left South Carolina as the school’s all-time leader in points, was signed to a futures deal in January. He participated in minicamps for the Chiefs and Buccaneers but did not play in the NFL during the 2022 season.
The Packers taking Carlson in the sixth round — and his connections to special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia — made him the heavy early favorite to win the kicker job.
White’s departure leaves the Packers with five specialists: Carlson, punter Pat O’Donnell, punter Daniel Whelan, long snapper Matt Orzech and long snapper Broughton Hatcher.
