Packers host official pre-draft visit with Miami CB Tyrique Stevenson

The Green Bay Packers hosted Miami cornerback Tyrique Stevenson on an official top-30 visit ahead of the 2023 NFL draft, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Stevenson (6-0, 198) is a Georgia transfer. He played 25 games and made five starts for the Bulldogs between 2019 and 2020 before transferring to Miami, where he played in 22 games and was a two-time All-ACC selection for the Hurricanes during the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

During his collegiate career, Stevenson produced 115 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 24 pass breakups and three interceptions. He broke up at least five passes in all four of his seasons.

After playing the nickel at Georgia, the majority of Stevenson’s snaps were played on the boundary for Miami. In 2022, Stevenson set career-highs for pass breakups (nine) and interceptions (two).

At the combine, Stevenson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds, hit 38.5″ in the vertical leap, covered 10-5 in the broad jump, and finished the short shuttle in 4.41 seconds and the three-cone in 7.09 seconds. His Relative Athletic Score is 8.9 out of 10.0.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic ranks Stevenson as the 11th best cornerback and the No. 69 overall player in the class, making him a likely Day 2 option.

Stevenson participated at the 2023 Senior Bowl in February.

The Packers look solid at cornerback entering 2023, but premium positions require annual investments.
