The Green Bay Packers are going to the postseason in Year 1 of the Jordan Love era.
Matt LaFleur’s team used a pair of Love touchdown passes to Dontayvion Wicks and five sacks of Justin Fields to produce a 17-9 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday at Lambeau Field, clinching a spot as a wildcard team in the NFC.
The Packers finished the regular season at 9-8. They were at one point 2-5 and 3-6, but seven wins down the stretch propelled Green Bay to the postseason.
Love completed 27 of 32 passes for 316 yards and two touchdown passes. His passer rating was 128.6. He completed the season sweep of the Bears in his first year as a starter.
The Packers have won 10 straight games over the Bears and haven’t lost to their division rival since 2018.
LaFleur’s team missed the postseason after losing to the Detroit Lions in the season finale last year. The Packers are going back to the playoffs for the firs time since 2021.
