One of Snowdon’s most popular paths was covered in human faeces as visitors flocked to climb to the summit on Easter weekend.
Mountain guide Gemma Davies, who led a sunrise hike up Wales’ highest mountain on Saturday, April 16, said she had to warn people to “mind the poo” on their way up. She even caught a man doing a poo on the mountain’s railway line.
She told the BBC toilets at the summit and the bottom of the mountain were closed, meaning visitors left their stool in paper cups, under stones and on the popular Llanberis path. Snowdonia National Park Authority said nothing unusual had been reported.

Thousands visited beaches and national parks across Wales over the Bank Holiday weekend as temperatures soared higher than Greece, Turkey and the south of Italy, reports LancsLive.
Ms Davies said: "I caught a guy going to the toilet on the railway line. He quickly pulled up his pants and tried to make a quick getaway. But I had already seen it, my group had already seen it. And we had to walk past it as well."
Hundreds of people were fined for dangerous parking as hikers flocked back to Snowdon when lockdown restrictions were eased last year. The national park has introduced pre-bookable only parking at some beauty spots to try and tackle the problem.
North Wales Police also removed several vehicles parked dangerously on the A5 in the Nant Francon area, particularly by Ogwen Lake, yesterday. They belonged to people spending some of their Easter break in Snowdonia.
