P!nk has seemingly crashed out via a series of cryptic Instagram posts after she copped an immense amount of backlash for calling Macklemore out for advocating for Palestinians during his gig at Ed Sheeran‘s Loop Tour.
Over the weekend, the “Thrift Shop” rapper advocated for Palestinians while opening for Sheeran, which prompted activist groups to call for his removal from the remainder of the Loop Tour.
StopAntisemitism, a nonprofit organisation, shared a snippet of Macklemore’s message, writing, “Awful — Jewish fans bought tickets to see Ed Sheeran sing last night in NJ, not to be ambushed by Macklemore’s anti-Israel propaganda. Instead, Macklemore walked onstage in a keffiyeh, shouted ‘Free Palestine,’ accused Israel of a false ‘genocide,’ and turned a mainstream event into a political nightmare against the Jewish state.
“Concertgoers are owed apologies and refunds — this is unacceptable,” the nonprofit group added.

In support, P!nk reshared StopAntisemitism’s post to her story without a comment explaining why she decided to do so.
While she was praised by other organisations — with the Israeli-American Council thanking her with an Instagram post — P!nk was also called out for the repost.

Although P!nk didn’t release a statement on why she shared the scathing post against Macklemore, or where she stands on the controversy, the “Raise Your Glass” singer shared a series of Instagram post quotes on her story with the common subject of being “not being for everyone” and her brutal honesty.

Macklemore addresses Pro-Palestine backlash
During another gig as a support act for Ed Sheeran, Macklemore took the opportunity to address the backlash he received from organisations who claimed his Pro-Palestinian stance is “antisemitic”.
“To all of my Jewish brothers and sisters: criticism of Israel, criticism of apartheid, being against genocide in no way is a criticism of you,” Macklemore said, per Variety.
“My message is for peace; love for all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality.”
“So I say free Palestine, I say free Lebanon, I say free Cuba, I say free Congo, free Sudan, I say free all people in America living in fear of this terrorist organisation, ICE. None of us will be free until we are all free.”

Macklemore himself hasn’t responded to P!nk’s recent social media moves, as well as her recent Instagram Stories. As for Sheeran, he has not responded to the petition calling for the rapper’s removal from his tour, as well as his on-stage activism.
But safe to say, “Hind’s Hall” will be on repeat in this house.
