Ozzy Osbourne diagnosed with Covid as his wife Sharon rushes home to LA

Ozzy Osbourne has tested positive for Covid.

His emotional wife Sharon Osbourne unveiled her plans to jet back to Los Angeles to see him.

The 73-year-old Black Sabbath rocker, who is also battling Parkinson’s Disease, is said to be doing “OK,” according to his tearful wife.

Speaking to TalkTV, Ms Osbourne has revealed she has postponed filming on her new talk show and she is flying home to Los Angeles to support her husband following his Covid diagnosis.

Sharon revealed that her husband has Covid-19 (PA)

“Ozzy was only diagnosed in the middle of the night our time. I spoke to him and he’s OK. I am very worried about Ozzy right now,” she said in a recent interview clip.

She added: “We’ve gone two years without him catching Covid and it’s just Ozzy’s luck it would be now.”

Ms Osbourne went on to explain the first thing she plans to do when she sees her husband is “hold him and kiss him with about three masks on”.

She was also remaining upbeat and vowed to return to work after her husband recovers.

“It’ll take me a week to get my old man back on his feet again, and I will be back in a week,” Ms Osbourne continued.

Osbourne has largely taken a step back from public appearances after suffering a spate of health issues in recent years.

Osbourne has been suffering from Parkinson’s Disease

As well as Parkinson’s Disease, which he revealed he’s been battling since 2003, the musician has undergone a number of surgeries following a staph infection.

A fall in 2019 resulted in Osbourne dislodging the metal rods in his body which further prompted him to postpone his tour.

In December 2020, Ms Osbourne also revealed she had been briefly hospitalised after suffering from Covid herself.

She said on social media at the time: “I wanted to share I’ve tested positive for Covid 19. After a brief hospitalisation, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while The Talk is on scheduled hiatus.

“Everyone please stay safe and healthy.”
