  1. Almost a kilometer (0.6 mile) stretch between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street is closed to traffic as of 26 October.
  2. The area will be closed to traffic between 7am and midnight on every day of the week.
  3. Several bus routes that normally go down Oxford Street have been diverted, while some routes have been given alternative bus stops.
  4. Emergency services will still have access to the street at all times using the cross streets. Although taxis, buses and bikes are banned ,mobility scooters will still be allowed.
  5. By the end of spring 2027, it is hoped there will be 50 new trees and more than 100 new seats installed.
