A new coffee shop has opened its doors in a Nottinghamshire village. Double Ds Coffee has launched its first café location in East Leake after previously operating from a van in the village.
Co-owner Alex Dodd runs the business with his wife Devon and said that they have been loving it so far. Double Ds Coffee officially opened on March 14 and is the second business to operate in new units on Main Street which were previously ground-floor apartments.
Alex said: "It's so busy, it's been brilliant. It's me and my wife running it - she has left her job at the doctors and is with me full-time and we have got a couple of part-timers from the village as well.

"It's just been absolutely non-stop since. We're really enjoying it and it's just been brilliant."
He added: "It's been really busy and I've not had any negatives at all, just people telling me how much they love it. We've had people coming in from quite far away as well. It's been really really good and it couldn't be better."
Currently the business offers a range of hot and cold drinks as well as a few bakery items. Alex explained: "We already bake a lot of our own bakery offerings but we can't make anything to order until the planning application comes through."
The pair expect to receive permission shortly. They also have plans to expand their cold drink selection ahead of the warmer months.
