A family is grieving the death of their dog after he was left in the back of a dog sitter's car on a hot day.
The Bernese Mountain dog is said to have been in the care of a dog sitter who took him out on an extremely hot day without the owner knowing anything about it. Banjo was taken out with his brother on Friday, June 17 in Gloucester between 4pm and 8pm, with the owner now appealing for details due to the sitter not being permitted to take them out, especially on such a hot day.
Andrea Brown found the dog sitter agency online and had used them on and off for a number of months before the death. The 49-year-old said: "I have had Banjo and his brother since they were pups, and both are seven years old, but I have kept Bernese Mountain dogs for years.
