Hollywood actor Owen Wilson has reportedly been targeted by thieves, who stole $4k worth of his parts from his prized Tesla parked outside his Californian home.
The Marry Me actor, 53, was said to be the victim of a grand theft auto robbery on Sunday, when robbers stole the rims and tyres off his Tesla parked outside his mansion.
It's been reported that the Wedding Crashers star only discovered the robbery the morning after the incident occurred.
Owen's electric vehicle had been parked outside his Santa Monica abode on Saturday night when thieves struck, according to TMZ.
It's estimated that the amount of parts removed from the car will set the actor back $4,000 to replace.
The Mirror has approached representatives for the actor for comment.
It's not known what model Tesla Owen owns, but the electric cars - created by Elon Musk's company - can range in price from $45,000 to $100,000.
Last year, Owen poked fun at Tesla owner Elon and his fellow billionaires Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson during his stint hosting Saturday Night Live.
The actor mocked the trio of businessmen over their highly publicised 'Space Race' when hosting the American comedy back in October 2021.
In a skit, Owen took on the role of Amazon founder Jeff during a pseudo-trailer for "Star Trek: Ego Quest".
The trailer's tag-line was "take flight on a midlife crisis of epic proportions" and joked about the accusations Jeff and Virgin Atlantic founder Richard had "wasted millions" on their recent trips to space.
"Dude, space is freaking awesome," a cowboy-hatted Owen quipped as he played Jeff on stage in New York.
The comical skit followed "Captain Bezos" and his "crew of random weirdos" on their mission "to just sort of fly around space goofing off in a ship that looks like a penis," according to the show's voice-over.
Owen's brother, fellow actor Luke Wilson, made a cameo during the sketch, playing the role of Jeff's brother Mark Bezos, as Saturday Night Live parodied the business mogul's 11-minute space vacation.
SpaceX CEO Elon, played by Mikey Day, made an appearance when the Bezos brothers came face-to-face with the Tesla founder and British business boss Richard and challenged Owen's version of Jeff to a space race.
"Space is only big enough for one weird white billionaire," Mikey quipped as Elon during the skit. "You could say beating you is my prime objective."
Owen hosted Saturday Night Live for the first-time when the show returned for its 47th season last October.
The Hollywood actor poked fun at himself during his hilarious opening monologue, discussing "bad reviews" and his work as an actor.
"To be honest, I probably have been guilty at times of coasting a little, taking my foot off the pedal, but I’ll tell you what. When Daniel Day-Lewis retired, and all of that pressure landed on my shoulders, everything changed. That’s when I knew I had to do Cars 3," the star sarcastically quipped to a laughing audience.
