Hollyoaks heartthrob Owen Warner is desperate to shed his "player" tag by forming a strong friendship bond instead of looking for love on I'm A Celebrity.
The 23-year-old actor stars as Romeo on the long-running Channel 4 soap and has seen his character involved in a number of steamy storylines since arriving on set in 2015.
He's also proved he's a real-life "Romeo" with romantic links to the likes of Geordie Shore's Chloe Ferry and fellow Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis over the years.
But now, as he prepares to enter the Australian jungle, he's insisting he's pining for a "bromance over romance" during his stay.
Speaking to Mirror Online and other press, the Leicester-born star confessed he doesn't think a lot of people will actually know who he is, but wants his pleasant persona to be the one that shines through.

He said: "I think most people won’t have a clue who I am so hopefully they’ll be pleasantly surprised that I’m a nice geezer.
"I think there's a few articles saying I'm a bit of a player and that sort of guy and, yeah, I’m quite the opposite. I’m just chill."
When pressed on his "type" and whether he would be open to find love on set, he admitted he'd much rather find a nice "bromance" with a campmate.
"My type is someone that matches my energy," he revealed. "Someone who's got a good bubbly personality and that I can have a laugh with.
"I’d be more happy with a bromance than a romance, to be honest."
Admitting the opportunity to appear on the show was "too good to pass up" he confessed he doesn't know how he'll cope without his mum - admitting he'd sneak her in if her could.
"I chat to her every single day, FaceTiming all the time, just waffling to each other," he added.
"I've never gone this long without talking to my mum. So I don't know how I'd react reading a letter from her [on the show]."
He did reveal, however, he knows she'll be at the other end of the phone, but instead of dialling him, she'll be trying to get him involved in every challenge.
"She’ll be voting for me to eat everything, be put in everything. Yeah, she’ll want to watch all of that."
