Overwatch 2 ranks have changed a lot since the sequel was released in late 2022, but the biggest change yet really came around in season 9. This introduced a new system that helps you track your rank and provides new weapon skin rewards.
Now, after each competitive game, you'll be able to see how much progress you've made towards either the rank above or below you. It will also give you some more details about what impacts your rank change—these are known as modifiers. We've added a full list of modifiers below, but some of them include calibration that accounts for win or loss streaks and an expected or uphill battle that reveals if the match-making accounts for whether you should have won or lost that match.
