A van has crashed on a major roundabout in Edinburgh - sparking delays for drivers.
At around 2.50pm on Thursday February 16, Traffic Scotland alerted drivers after three of four lanes at Hermiston Gait roundabout were closed following a collision.
Images sent to Edinburgh Live show a van carrying what appears to be sheets of glass overturned at the roundabout. An eyewitness told Edinburgh Live that they saw the lorry on its side with glass smashed everywhere.
They said: "It has hit the traffic lights head on. It was carrying a load of glass window panes, they've obviously smashed everywhere. There were several police, fire brigade, trauma team and an ambulance. There's teams there clearing it up."
There were no reports of any injuries.
Traffic Scotland have issued a warning to drivers via social media as emergency services have rushed to the scene. TRISS are also in attendance. While three of the of the four lanes have closed, as of 3.05pm, drivers have been warned that traffic is starting to build up in the area.
On Twitter, Traffic Scotland said: "At the Roundabout lane 1, 2 and 3 (of 4) remains closed due to a collision. Police and emergency services are in attendance."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.50pm on Thursday, 16 February, 2023, police were called to Hermiston Gait roundabout in Edinburgh, following a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a lorry. Recovery has been arranged.”
