Glorious weather brought more than 7000 people to Balloch for the return of the Loch Lomond Highland Games.
The sun was shining for the event on Saturday, which made a welcome return after two years.
More than 7000 people, including residents and visitors from as far afield as Germany and America, flocked to the popular event in Moss O’ Balloch Park.
They enjoyed displays from heavyweights as well as Highland dancing, piping and the traditional tossing of the caber and tug of war competitions.
A group of German friends took part in a traditional tug of war.
While in the women’s tug of war, ‘Breaststroke and Bleethers’ were champions for Loch Lomond Rescue Boat and donated their £200 winnings to the charity.
West Dunbartonshire Provost Douglas McAllister, said: “It’s been absolutely fantastic to be back at the Highland
Games.
“It’s been a really missed event during Covid. We’re delighted to have hosted again this year in partnership with the Loch Lomond Highland Games Committee and we hope to see more people back again next year."
Karen Conaghan, Chieftain of Loch Lomond Highland Games, said: “We’re all delighted to be back here for the Loch Lomond Highland Games, to see everyone turning out from near and far.
“We’ve had visitors from all over the world enjoy our Scottish culture and heritage.
