Over 500,000 DWP Universal Credit claimants denied cost of living payment

Over 500,000 people across the UK have been refused a cost of living payment by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

As energy bills rise and the cost of living crisis continues to worsen, those most vulnerable are eligible for a number of supports from the UK Government.

One of these is the £650 cost of living payment, which is paid in two separate instalments of £326 and £324 to people claiming certain benefits from the DWP such as Universal Credit.
