On Tuesday, a devastating incident unfolded at a prayer meeting in Mughal Garhi village, Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in a crush that claimed the lives of over a hundred individuals. The village, located around 200 kilometers southeast of New Delhi, became the site of a heart-wrenching tragedy as at least 116 people lost their lives, with the death toll possibly rising.
Following the crush, bodies of the deceased were taken to mortuaries in Etah and Hathras. Distraught families gathered outside hospitals, seeking information and solace, while medical personnel worked tirelessly to attend to the injured.
