The friend of a pregnant Irish woman who was murdered in the UK has launched a GoFundMe page to help reunite her body with her family in Ireland.
Ailish Walsh, 28, was allegedly stabbed to death on Thursday in Hackney, London. Ailish, who was believed to be from Coolock, was pregnant with her fifth child at the time of the horrific incident.
Liam Taylor, 37, was charged in connection with the murder on Monday. Police were alerted to a home on Rectory Road in North Hackney just after 10pm on December 15 following “reports of an unresponsive woman" at the property.

Ailish was pronounced dead at the scene. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers called it “an incredibly sad incident.”
An online fundraiser set up by a friend, Teresa Cannon, has raised £9,316 (€10,645.11), over £4,000 more than its original goal of £5,000, Buzz.ie reports. A note on the GoFundMe page reads: "I am fundraising for the family of Ailish Walsh, who was a beautiful young woman of 28 with four young children and a little girl on the way.
"I would like to try and raise as much money as we can to help with family with the funeral costs and getting Ailish back home to Ireland to put her at rest and be back with her family. I know times are hard at the moment but you cannot imagine how hard this is for her family and children.
"So please, please, no matter how much or how little every penny will help."
