Nearly 1.6 million people in eastern Japan have been ordered to evacuate as Typhoon Dujuan brings torrential rain, powerful winds, and landslides to the country's Pacific coast.
The internal affairs ministry said 1,674,084 people in Ibaraki, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Shizuoka prefectures were subject to evacuation orders.
