Outraged shoppers teach inconsiderate driver a lesson after he parked across two spaces

Bad parking is one of those things that can provoke the most ill-tempered reaction – but most times we just share a few cross words with whoever we're with and move on.

However, some outraged shoppers decided they weren't going to let an obnoxious driver away that lightly, and decided to take their petty revenge.

The inconsiderate driver had parked across two parking spots at a busy shopping centre, provoking outrage from fellow shoppers.

One observant snapper shared a picture of the black Jaguar, and detailed the epic revenge which took place over the next 30 minutes.

Sharing the picture on the forum website Reddit, before explaining that the incident happened in the Belconnen Westfield in Canberra, Australia, the woman wrote: "I love how petty Canberrans can be."

Then she shared two further photos, which revealed that some shoppers had played an inconvenient prank on the driver.

Over the next 30 minutes, it appeared five shopping trolleys had surrounded the car.

One eagle-eyed social media user also noticed the trolleys had been linked together, to make it extra hard for the driver to move.

They wrote: "The trolleys have been chained together, surrounding the Jaguar where it will remain for all eternity."

Many commenters laughed at the shoppers' last act for revenge, while another suggested tying a trolley to the car's door.

In another parking example, a homeowner decided to take revenge on a woman who had parked on their driveway.

With limited parking options, the resident decided to park right behind them – which caused her to knock on their door a few hours later.

The homeowner said they couldn't move the car because they had been "drinking" – and when the police arrived they said the same thing.

In a Reddit post, the author continued: "At this point their hands were tied because they couldn't tow her car out, I'm in no shape to drive, and I'm legally parked in my driveway."

The homeowner decided to drag the revenge out even further, and said because it was a long weekend they would be on a "long bender" – and couldn't move their car until Tuesday, to the amusement of many in the comment section.
