After returning from the cannabis farm, at around 11.20pm on Wednesday, February 16, they found a window had been smashed on their patrol car.
The police car was left out of action following the incident.
Community Inspector Simon Peers said: "Our job is to keep you safe and it is really upsetting to see that this is what we get in return.
"Repairing a damaged patrol car isn’t just a quick fix – this leaves us one car down meaning less officers are able to patrol the streets, help vulnerable people and respond to incidents."
Primrose Court housing estate, in Knowsley, has become infamous since locals have complained it is plagued by a spate of crime and anti-social behaviour.
