Outnumbered ’s Karen is completely unrecognisable after ditching her famous blonde curls and quitting showbiz.
Former child star Ramona Marquez made her debut as Karen Brockman in the hit BBC One comedy in 2007, at the age of just six, and she was catapulted to stardom.
Her impeccable comic timing was a huge hit with viewers, and she became the show’s most beloved character thanks to her one liners and critical comments.
Ramona starred in the hit BBC show, which aired until 2017 but returned for two one-off specials, alongside Hugh Dennis as dad Pete, Claire Skinner as mum Sue, and Tyger Drew-Honey and Daniel Roche playing her big brothers Jake and Ben.
The sitcom followed the family as they navigated life in London, and won a number of accolades, with Ramona winning two British Comedy Awards for her iconic portrayal of moody Karen.
Six years after the last Outnumbered special aired, the former actress has quit showbiz, and enrolled at university to study languages.
Since becoming a household name, the 20-year-old is now studying for a degree in Spanish and Mandarin at the University of Manchester.
Before ditching her career in acting, she also starred as Imogen Pollock in the television movie Enid in 2009, and voiced the character Gwen in the animated festive flick, Arthur Christmas.
She played a young Princess Margaret in the Oscar-winning film The King’s Speech in 2010, and also starred as one of Celia Imrie’s grandchildren in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
Earlier this week, she stunned fans as she attended the launch of Boots’ revamped 17 make-up line, and looked totally different to her iconic character.
Ramona had dyed her blonde hair an ombre shade of red, and her rock-inspired outfit was finished off with a black waistcoat, low-slung jeans and a belly-button piercing.
She also showed her tattoo on her arm, and finished off her edgy outfit with chunky black platforms, as well as silver necklaces and matching earrings.
Fans were delighted to see her on the red carpet for the launch, and it marks only the second time she’s been seen in the last few years, as she prefers to stay out of the limelight.
Ramona reunited with her former Outnumbered co-stars Daniel and Tyger last year for a lunch date, and delighted fans who were overjoyed to see the Brockman siblings all grown up.
