Outlander stars were out in force at the season seven premiere on Friday night as the cast shared details about the 'epic' episodes.
Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton dressed to the nines and donned the red carpet in New York City for the Outlander season seven premiere. The cast shared some insight on what fans can expect in the upcoming series, as Sam, 43, also revealed what he would like to steal from the set.
Speaking at a panel after the premiere, Outlander executive producer Maril Davis calls described the season as "epic" and teased the return of some historical figures and some new faces.
The highly anticipated seventh season kicks off exactly where fans were left with Claire in jail, and Jamie rushing to save her. Speaking about the season, Caitriona, 43, said: "As the season goes on... there's a couple of episodes where just like the shock of 'what is happening' and having to go back and reading it in the book and being like, 'OK, wait how do we do this?'"
Balfe explained during a panel following the screening: "There's lots of things this season that are like that."
"So much happened just now in this episode," Sam added. "Episode two... there's some amazing scenes. So many things happen there that really, I guess, moves the story along and changes everything for the Frasers."
Feeling sentimental about the show, which is set to end after its eighth season, the Scots actor revealed he wants to take home Jamie's wardrobe from set.
"Mark me... I'm on the last day of shooting, I'm gonna walk off set and I'm gonna just keep walking," he said.
"I'm not going to get undressed, I'm gonna wear 14 sets of clothes, all of Jamie's clothes are going to be in my wardrobe."
Outlander Season 7 premieres Friday, June 16 on Starz.
Outlander series 1-6 are available to stream on LIONSGATE+ in the UK.
