OUTLANDER actor Sam Heughan has announced he will be releasing a “memoir with a difference” later this year.
The TV star told his Instagram followers on Thursday night that he would be releasing the book, entitled “Waypoints”.
Heughan has previously co-authored two books (Clanlands and The Clanlands Alamanac) with his Men in Kilts and Outlander co-star Graham McTavish.
This will be his first solo foray into the writing world, with a release date currently set for October 25, 2022.
Heughan wrote on Instagram: “Ready to come on this journey with me?
“I wanted to write a memoir with a difference. ‘Waypoints’ takes you on a personal journey through my life, whilst I walk 100 miles through the Highlands of Scotland. Excited and nervous. I can’t wait to share with you my new adventure!”
He added separately: “I wanted to tell the stories and share the experiences that have shaped me, but to do that I needed to challenge myself and spend some time in my own company, away from the distractions of everyday life. And for me there's no better place to reflect than in the wild Scottish Highlands.”
The book is available to pre-order here.
