Outlander fans were delighted at the news that filming for the seventh season has officially started.

Sam Heughan, who plays Highland warrior Jamie Fraser, and Caitriona Balfe, who plays his on-screen wife Claire Fraser in the historical fantasy series were spotted back on set in Fife.

The 41-year-old donned his iconic red wig as production got underway in Scotland.
