Is there a season 7 trailer?
Early in 2023, Starz cured many fans' January blues by releasing a teaser trailer, which offers our first glimpse at new footage from season seven

What will happen in season 7?
Starz announced an extended season seven, featuring 16 episodes.
While Outlander the TV series doesn’t strictly adhere to the novels it’s based on, sometimes moving story lines around or changing them completely, the show has thus far mostly followed the events of each novel in order.
Season seven pulled the majority of its plot from book six, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, which means the upcoming season seven will be based mostly on book seven, An Echo in the Bone.
What new characters will appear in season 7?
In October of 2022, Starz confirmed a whole slew of new additions to the cast, as well as some significant returning faces.
Actor Andrew Whipp will be reprising his season one role as Brian Fraser, and Graham McTavish will return as Dougal MacKenzie.
What happened in season six?
Season 6 saw Claire and Jamie’s struggles to protect those they love, as they try to set up a life in colonial America.
Set against the backdrop of impending revolution, the two have built a home together at Fraser's Ridge, which they must now protect.
Season 7 will take their story forward as we see what happens when you become an outsider in your own home.
“For nearly a decade Outlander has won the hearts of audiences worldwide and we’re pleased to bring Claire and Jamie’s epic love story to a proper conclusion,” said Kathryn Busby, President, Original Programming for STARZ.
