Outlander star Sam Heughan, known as Jamie Fraser in the Starz show, has taken to social media to celebrate a huge milestone as he marks 10 years since landing the role.
Sam, 43, has had fans across the globe swooning after him since making his mark on the popular TV show which is based on Diana Gabaldon's book franchise.
And he marked the milestone by posting on social media.
"Happy castaverssary JAMMF! 10 years ago was lucky to be given the opportunity to be custodian of the ginger wig….@outlander_starz," Sam wrote on his Instagram page accompanied by a dashing photo of Jamie Fraser in his finery.
And it wasn't long before his adoring fans rushed to the comments to send their congratulations on serving the role so well over the last decade, including his co-star and off-screen best pal Caitriona Balfe.
Caitriona responded: The man, the myth, the legend …!!!! Happy Castaversary darling !!! (I may have been slightly premature a few days ago!!) So happy I got to go along on this insanely amazing journey with you. much love , the old ball and chain x," with a heart emoji.
The official Starz social media account also paid tribute to the Dumfries-born actor on their Instagram story where they also shared his post.
One fan wrote: "and you do it so perfectly. Thank you, Sam, for bringing Jamie Fraser to life. You are our perfect Jamie. We are so grateful for that and love you so much. Happy Castaversary," as they shared hearts and kisses on the post.
Another praised: "You were made for that role Sam!! No one could have done it justice like you have."
"This role wouldn't suit anyone but you anyway. Diana created an extraordinary man, and you gave him life. I love you both so much, Sam," gushed a third fan with a series of red hearts.
A fourth added: "Happy Castaversary!!! It's been such a pleasure to watch Outlander with you as Jamie/James Fraser!!! Thank you for all this years!!"
