Outlander's Richard Rankin said it's fantastic the show is now getting recognition from fans in Scotland.
Richard, who play Roger Mackenzie Wakefield in the Starz hit drama, said: "There was a time when it was very little known in Scotland.
"It's getting traction now and to bring Scottish talent and crews and production to it. It is a real big win here for the Scottish TV industry."
Richard, who pretended he was scared of the Scottish press on the night, claims he's managed to explore more of his homeland since doing the show.
He said: "Exploring Scotland, I already had a good appreciation but its better now in terms of travelling and opening my eyes to what is on our doorstep. I've had several road trips and it gives you a better appreciation of what is on your doorstep."
Meantime Richards' co-star Lauren Lyle admitted she has more babies than ever on the show's series six.
She laughed: "There's five hundred and now five hundred and one.
"You will never see how it happens. It just happens. There's loads of weans.
She laughed: "I think I'll look great for it as well."
