Outlander fans have been treated to an early Christmas presenter after the trailer for Series 7 dropped on Friday night.
It was confirmed yesterday that the next installment will be released in summer 2023, with star of the show Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser, telling his followers: "This is not a dream…. It’s real!"
Not much has been given away in the short clip, but it starts with Jamie speaking to Claire, played by Caitriona Bafle, setting out a dream in which he saw her surrounded by light.
He says: "There was light all around you. But it wasn’t candlelight nor firelight," adding: "I thought that must be what electric light is like."
Fans have been reacting on social media, with one commenting: "Absolute goosebumps!!! #Outlander S7 looks incredible!! Countdown to the end of #Droughtlander is on!!! Yaazzz!!!!"
Another wrote: "Woooo!!!!! Can’t wait!!!!"
A third posted: "This music, though. So beautiful!! The entire OL team is just stellar!"
While a fourth penned: "You CAN dream of the future!!!!"
"Because tomorrow is already summer, doesn’t it?! CANNA WAIT!!!," tweeted a fifth.
