Outlander episode 2 trailer looks action-packed with births, witchcraft accusations and Indian agents

We've barely been able to digest what happened in episode one of the new season of Outlander and already the trailer for episode two has dropped.

The extended 90-minute premiere of season six aired over the weekend (March 6) and fans have been raving about everything from Sam Heughan's performance to the arrival of the Christies.

And it seems they'll now have even more to look forward to after a new clip was posted by the official Outlander channel which shows what's in store for episode two.

Dubbed 'Allegiance', it's due to hit our screens on the 13th of March and will follow up on the exciting events shown in 'Echoes'.

The 30-second promo clip shows Jamie and Young Ian meeting the Cherokee as part of Jamie's new role as Indian Agent for the British – and it seems he's already struggling with his conscience.

Worse, it seems Young Ian is hell-bent on helping them, even if his uncle won't.

When he tells Claire the Native American tribe has requested weapons, Claire asks him if he's worried that he might be arming a "potential enemy", due to their knowledge of the coming war.

Claire is also facing her own challenges after Tom Christie (Mark Lewis Jones) agreed to her help with fixing his hand, leading to questions being asked about her skills and the rumours of witchcraft once again raising their ugly head.

And after Marsali seems to be facing a difficult birth Jamie can be seen angered by Fergus' lack of presence.

It's a thrilling clip and shows that peace might not last at the Ridge, even before the war breaks out.

According to the episode's synopsis, we'll also see Roger preside over an "unusual funeral" – which is intriguing in itself, we wonder whose it could be!
