A casting announcement for Outlander that has been anticipated for months has finally been revealed to excited fans.

Starz have announced that the actor to play Scottish lead Sam Heughan's secret son, 'William Ransom', has been revealed to be Canadian actor Charles Vandervaart.

Charles will play William, the estranged, secret son of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) in the seventh series of the popular fantasy show, the Daily Record reports.
