Outlander actress Joanne Thomson claims a bullfrog on the show had a better rider than her during filming.
Joanne is a newcomer to Starz global hit series and will be seen been acting opposite Richard Rankin who plays Roger Mackenzie Wakefield in the new series 6.
The show had its Scottish premiere for Glasgow Film Festival at the GFT tonight (Thursday March 3) and Joanne admitted she found it all very exciting to be on the red carpet close to home - after a first look at the show in London earlier this week.
On joining the super successful show which stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in lead roles, she said: "It was stressful. I've done BBC and ITV, smaller things but this is the longest running thing and everyone took me under their wing. I think it's the biggest thing anyone has done."
She revealed that filming in lockdown was 'tricky' but added: "Everyone was trying to smile behind their masks and we felt like we were all in it together. We were all just trying to get work done.
"I was with Sam and Cat who were incredible and most scenes I shot were with Richard."
She added: "I met writer Diana Gabaldon at the premiere and she has created this entire world. I read the book 6 and it is beautifully written and she is a brilliant writer."
Joanne did reveal however that there was one diva on set - in the form of a bullfrog she was acting opposite.
She joked: "There were a lot of animals on set other than Richard. There were some goats and horses and a frog in one of my scenes and the rider for this bullfrog was incredible.
"I wrote it down at one point cause it was like 'I need my temperature at certain degrees and my water and a cup of milk' and all this. It was a much bigger rider than mine.
"I need to take a bit of the bullfrogs attitude on and say I want that done."
