Outgoing Motherwell chief executive Alan Burrows made an emotional farewell on social media after his last matchday ended in a 2-0 Premiership win over Hearts.
Goals from Jon Obika and Blair Spittal gave Motherwell back-to-back league wins for the first time this season, moving them six points clear of the relegation spot, and three ahead of Kilmarnock before they head to Rugby Park next weekend.
Burrows is leaving for the chief executive job at Aberdeen at the end of February, ending a 16-year spell at the Fir Park club, which he has supported as a child. He had been chief executive since 2014.
In a social media post, Burrows said: "Last matchday at Fir Park today. I'm a local boy who got the chance to live his dream.
"I got some things right, I got some things wrong, but every day of the last 16 years I gave absolutely everything I had for this amazing club.
"I've had the time of my life. Thank you."
