Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen addresses 'tough' split from husband Clive Owen

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has addressed her separation from husband Clive Owen, saying that while it's "really tough," life carries on for their family.

Amanda, 48, and husband Clive, 67, announced earlier this year that they had decided to separate but stated that they would continue to work and co-parent together.

The former couple - who have nine children together - run Ravenseat Farm in North Yorkshire which has been the focus of the popular Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm.

The mother-of-nine spoke about separating from her husband - after 22 years of marriage - during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine this morning.

She opened up to presenter Christine Lampard, 43, explaining that whilst it has been a "tough experience," the former couple are focused on keeping things running.

Asked about life carrying on in terms of family and work, Amanda responded: "It does. That is reality. [...] It's really tough and it is a really difficult aspect of it to get across."

"But when you do reality it has to be just that. That means it covers the ups and downs and that can be on any level. So y'know life carries on on the farm," she continued.

Amanda added that there are a "whole raft of things to do" when it comes to raising their nine children and working with various animals on their farm in North Yorkshire.

The reality TV star - who is known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess - explained during the interview earlier this morning that their priority remains "to keep everything going".

She added: "There you go, that's how it is. I felt like that needed to be out there so that people [know]. There are new projects going on. There's exciting new thing going on".

Amanda and Clive issued a statement last year saying that constant intrusion into their lives from the media had "amplified a rocky patch" that they were going through.

The interview also saw Amanda - who has written a number of books centred around her profession - asked about the impact of the family's fame on her young children.

Amanda - whose children range in ages from four to 21 - said they remain "very unaffected" by the attention because they don't consider their lives to be "out of the ordinary".

She said: "We're literally just doing our thing". The mother-of-nine commented that whilst it has given them new opportunities, it has "just made [them] a whole lot busier".

Lorraine continues tomorrow on ITV and ITV Hub from 9am. You can catch up on Our Yorkshire Farm via My5.
