Nottingham Forest fans have given their reaction after another play-off boost against Birmingham City.
Steve Cooper ’s side won their fifth Championship game in a row to move further up the table. Goals from Keinan Davis and Scott McKenna gave Forest a 2-0 win over the Blues at the City Ground this afternoon.
The three points lift Forest up to third place in the table with 67 points from their 39 games this season. The Reds are four points clear of Blackburn Rovers in seventh place, while also having two games in hand over Tony Mowbray’s side, with eyes starting to turn to the automatic promotion places.

Forest went into the game looking to build on a midweek win over Coventry City. And the game couldn’t have started better, Davis opening the scoring with just five minutes on the clock.
McKenna added to the lead with just over 10 minutes remaining. But there were 12 minutes of added time at the end of the game due to an injury to Birmingham goalkeeper Neil Etheridge.
Following the full-time whistle, Forest fans took to social media to give their immediate reaction. Here is just some of what they had to say.
Chris Beecroft : Can’t remember the last time I’ve enjoyed watching Forest play like this, up to third in the league, absolutely on fire, momentum with us 7 games left, 6 points behind Bournemouth who we still have to play.
Buckle up reds, going to go the wire #NFFC
Debs : Dreamland!!! #NFFC

Paddy Reston : Everything just feels so comfortable. Just doing enough in games to get 3 points. Never ever known it like this. Sell out city ground used to make us play worse, not anymore.
Markan Sangha : The only reason we aren’t in second place is that defeat to Bournemouth in August. What a ridiculous run this is. #NFFC
Brummie Tricky : Goals win games but defences win championships, might be a tad too much for 2nd but that back 3 is as solid as it gets in this league #nffc
