Manchester City fans have shared their delight at Phil Foden scoring his first goal since January and his first Premier League strike since November against Bournemouth.
The attacker pounced on a mistake by Philip Billing to breakaway and fire home his side’s third of the match just before half-time. Foden had been in and out of the side amid injury and the form of other teammates.
Until the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest last weekend, he had gone without a league start since the 2-1 loss to Manchester United. Foden found the net in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Chelsea in January - his sole strike since his goal for England against Wales at the World Cup - but had otherwise failed to convert in his other nine outings.

However, on his 200th City first-team appearance, the 22-year-old took up the opportunity presented by Billing to fire City into an unassailable lead on the south coast. He now has 55 goals for the Blues across his senior career.
Foden was joined on the scoresheet by Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez (2) as Pep Guardiola's side took control of the game
On social media, City fans were extremely pleased to see Foden find the net after a dry spell. Many on Twitter declared that the playmaker “is back” while others outlined how much of a confidence boost he would receive from the goal.
