Our Liverpool: Scousers remember cult 00's film from Liverpool

Hello and welcome to Our Liverpool.

Today Scousers have been remembering the 2001 film Shooters, filmed in the city that used non-actors playing the part of gangsters in the city's underworld. The film came to Netflix this week after years as a cult classic.

The film, directed by Dan Ryan who also shot the controversial Leaving Neverland, is known for its one-liners, including "You owe me about three and a half hundred quid" and "Where's me money for me six halves John?" But at the time it was critically acclaimed, depicting the ripple effect that drugs and a life of crime has on families and communities.
