Hello and Good Afternoon.
5pm is right there and the weekend is so close you can almost taste it. This week has been a busy one for me as I've started this new job taking care of these daily briefings. I've really enjoyed it so far, but I won't lie - I'm ready to relax a little over the weekend.
This is my 10th and final Our Liverpool of the week so enjoy whatever you have planned. I look forward to bringing you the lowdown on everything important that is going on in Liverpool and with the ECHO next Monday.
Man lost everything before finding a new life in Liverpool
Kicking off with a lovely piece - Nigel Westbrooks was living out of his car in the States before it was stolen. Left with nowhere else to go he called his relatives in Liverpool - connected by his Scouse mum - and flew over.
He's now running a barbeque out of Fly in the Loaf in town and has just had a daughter with his partner Dominique. He spoke to Patrick Graham about his amazing story.
Casual walker dodges train by split second
A man came within a split second of being hit by a train in shocking footage released by rail bosses who called it one of the closest near misses they've ever seen.
I've said this before but this is one of those I dare you to watch without wincing. Absolutely terrifying.
Mum's pain as daughters keep asking why can't their brother come home
Jodie Murphy lost her son Kayden last month after she was told it'd be a miracle if he made it through the night. Jodie has now paid tribute to the baby she will "always miss."
She told James McNeill: "My daughter keeps asking why we can't bring Kayden out the clouds."
