The ultimate showdown occurred on the last episode of ITV drama Our House - but not between who everyone thought.
Tensions come to a head as Bram (Martin Compston) goes on the run from his past mistakes, and Fi (Tuppence Middleton) finds out the truth - and decides to handle it the only way she can.
Fi poisons her fake boyfriend Toby (Rupert Penry-Jones), whom she knew as Mike, and a fight ensues, resulting in his death.

The panicked Fi then calls on Merle (Werluche Opia) to help, who comes up with a plan to evade the police, and they return home to Fi's two children, somewhat safe.
Then a detective appears with a recording from Bram to his wife, confessing to his crimes and saying goodbye to them as he takes his own life.
This then incriminates Fi, as the police piece the clues that link her to Toby/Mike's death, and the happy life she once thought of was now far from the future as the grief-stricken mother is taken away by police.
So, after that whirlwind tour of the fourth episode, how did social media react to the showdown? Reactions were certainly mixed, as some fans were seriously disappointed in the ending.

On Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Watched #OurHouse on ITV. Yet another tv drama with a very disappointing and convenient finale."
Another was in agreement, stating: "Strange end #ourhouse."
A third said: "She figured that all out pretty quickly and easily … #ourhouse"
However, not everyone was so upset at the ending, with one fan writing: "Just finished #OurHouse Didn’t know weather to dislike or feel sorry for @martin_compston throughout. Really enjoyable watch."
One said during the show: "Suddenly things have gotten interesting #ourhouse"
Another Twitter user said: "I really enjoyed #OurHouse was just a bit of a roller coaster ride wasn't it!"
And a third said: "@martin_compston absolutely loved #OurHouse you never fail to deliver binge worthy tv. Can’t wait to see what you do next, hopefully you will be doning the “waistcoat “ soon."
It seems that our very own Martin Compston was the star of the show, despite barely featuring in the final episode.
Some viewers found plot-holes within the show, with one tweet reading: "#OurHouse The phone rings and Fi says to her neighbour "It's her" when she sees the picture of Wendy on the screen. But neither woman had met Wendy so how did they know it was her???"
Another jokingly stated that the characters waited too long to call authorities, writing: "Any normal person would call the police RIGHT now…but this is a tv drama so I’m not holding out much hope haha #ourhouse"
The only thing that's definite in this ending, is that star Martin Compston wasn't joking when he said there would be twists and turns galore!
You can re-watch all four episodes of Our House on the ITV Hub, which is available until June 10, 2022.
