Neighbours are angry at a 2.4 metre fence that has been put up by a council that they claim towers over their gardens and makes them feel "imprisoned".
East Riding of Yorkshire Council put the paladin fence up to border St Anne's School playing fields in Hessle, Hull, with the aim of safeguarding pupils many of whom have severe learning difficulties.
But local residents whose gardens back onto the field are angry with the height of the fence and said there was a lack of consultation before it was constructed.
