Osimhen, Lukaku, Nkunku - Chelsea's attacking options this summer amid major Graham Potter issue

Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have already spent a whopping half-a-billion-pounds in the transfer market since taking over the club last May, but there are still gaps to fill in the squad. Problems at centre-back and wing-back have been addressed, while the midfield was bolstered considerably in January.

However, despite the records set so far, there is still one key issue facing Graham Potter and his squad at this moment in time. That's goal scoring, something every side will always look to improve upon, but finding a consistent scorer of those chance is rare and often very expensive.

The Blues have scored just once in February and their dismal form in front of goal hasn't helped their league position at all. "I think the goals are there in this team but I think we have to as a team function better to attack, as we did in midweek," Potter told the press last week.

"You hear that Chelsea have a problem scoring goals and they spent close to £100million on a No.9 and it’s meant to fix the problem and as far as I can see it didn’t fix the problem." With the attack being a main concern for the squad, there are a few options already at the club or elsewhere that can change things come the summer.

One of those is Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on loan at Inter Milan, but could return to show his ability once again. The Belgian got off to an ideal start after his club-record move to Stamford Bridge, but things turned sour as he struggled for form, leading towards his exit.

While this season hasn't been easy for the striker, who has battled with fitness issues, he has still shown some of his ability and found the back of the net. He could team up with several other players too, one of which may be RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku, who is set to join the club in the summer.

The Frenchman is versatile and can play anywhere across the frontline, offering pace off the shoulder as well as quality with the ball at his feet. While teaming up with Lukaku is an option, there are other players available on the market that may fit the profile of the squad better.

Napoli star Victor Osimhen has shown his elite level so far this season, helping fire the Azzurri towards the Serie A title with his ruthless finish among the rest of his well-rounded skillset. There's also the likes of Harry Kane and Goncalo Ramos that continue to be linked with a switch, while the future of Joao Felix is likely to be open for discussion once his loan at Stamford Bridge ends.

It remains to be seen if the side can find their shooting boots going forward, but there are solutions internally and externally to solve the problem.
