Oscars 2026: All the Winners

The 2026 Oscars had it all, glory, surprises, and more than a few faces that seemed to say, "Wait, what just happened?" Although Sinners came in as the most nominated film of the night, it ultimately did not become the ceremony's undisputed winner.

That title went to One Battle After Another, which ended up taking home six awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson. Sinners, for its part, finished with four statuettes, including Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, who prevailed in one of the night's most talked-about categories.

And yes, that was one of the biggest surprises. A lot of eyes were on Timothée Chalamet for Marty Supreme after a very strong awards season, but in the end the Oscar for Best Actor went to Jordan for his dual performance in Sinners. It was one of those twists that instantly turns half of social media into an improvised analysis panel. Another major surprise was that Sinners, despite dominating in nominations, failed to take home Best Picture.

In the middle of that battle between giants, Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein had an elegant and highly respectable night. It did not win in the major categories, but it did walk away with three awards that confirmed its visual strength: Best Production Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Costume Design. In other words, it did not sweep, but it absolutely made one thing clear: when Del Toro steps into the arena of aesthetics, he plays to win. The film had arrived with nine nominations, so it certainly did not go home empty-handed.

As for Latino representation, the story comes with a twist. There was just one single major individual Latina winner in the top competitive categories: Argentine producer Violeta Kreimer took the stage as part of the winning team behind Two People Exchanging Saliva, which tied for Best Live Action Short Film with The Singers.

In the end, the 2026 Oscars delivered a very Hollywood snapshot: a favorite that did not fully sweep, a film that emerged stronger than expected, and a Frankenstein that turned darkness into trophies. Not bad for a ceremony that, as always, needed a little drama to feel alive.
