Oscars 2022: Beyonce and Billie Eilish confirmed as part of star-studded musical line-up

This year's Oscars is set to see music giants Beyonce and Billie Eilish perform sets for the Hollywood bash.

The award-winning artists have both been nominated for best original song for work on King Richard and No Time To Die respectively at this Sunday's 94th edition of the annual awards.

Beyonce, 40, is nominated for Be Alive, which features in the biopic of Richard Williams - father of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams - and stars Will Smith in the titular role.

Queen Bey is reportedly set to broadcast her performance from a Compton tennis court where the world-class tennis-playing sisters used to train.

Eilish, 20, is nominated along with her brother Finneas O'Connell for their song for No Time To Die, which is the title song from the latest instalment of the James Bond franchise.

The sibling duo have already racked up multiple wins for the song and are also scheduled to perform the following week at the 64th annual Grammy awards.

Both Beyonce and Eilish will entertain the onlooking crowd with the tunes they are nominated for, as will Reba McEntire and Sebastian Yatra.

Yatra is set to belt out Lin Manuel Miranda's Dos Oruguitas from Encanto, while McEntire will take to the stage to sing Diane Warren's Somehow You Do from Four Good Days.

McEntire took to Twitter to tell of her pride at being asked to perform.

She tweeted: "I'm honored to be performing "Somehow You Do" written by @Diane_Warren at this year's 94th #Oscars Tune in on Sunday at 8/7c on @ABCNetwork."

Van Morrison, who has been nominated for best song for Down To Joy from Belfast, was also invited to perform but unfortunately for the star his busy tour schedule scuppered the plans.

That means the song is set to be shunned at the ceremony, according to show producers Will Packer and Shayla Cowan.

There is an abundance of talent set to take to the big stage for presenting duties too, with the likes of Stephanie Beatriz, DJ Khaled, Elliot Page, Jennifer Garner, comedian Bill Murray and skateboarder Tony Hawk all among those most recently announced.

Also on the list is Mila Kunis, John Travolta, Daniel Kaluuya and Wesley Snipes, as well as Zoe Kravitz, Lady Gaga, Lily James, Uma Thurman and Rami Malek.

Anthony Hopkins, who was named best actor last year, will also make an appearance at the ceremony which will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 27.
