She recently returned to her dark locks for her role in Orphan: First Kill, a prequel to the first film which came out in July this year.
But when she is not in character, Isabelle is actually blonde with freckles and looks world’s away from scary Esther.
Posting a string of glamorous snaps for her 684,000 followers, the actress – who has also starred in The Hunger Games – also loves a slick of red lipstick.
The star looked like she had been enjoying some holidays recently with trips to the Cayman Islands and Thailand.
In one pretty shot, in which she doesn’t look unlike fellow actress Jaime Winstone, Isabelle stunned in a white shirt as she promoted her new film.
She captioned the snap: “Ready for a day of #OrphanFirstKill interviews” followed by a lipstick kiss emoji.
Another dreamy holiday snap showed her taking a dip in the sea at sunset. Joking to her fans, she wrote: “SUNSET LOVER. Oh and I just peed a little.”
A third photo shows her giving a cheeky wink to the camera as she sits in a bar in a chic khaki bikini.
While a fourth shows the actress posing in a brown swimsuit in what looks like her garden.
She has a glass of what could be wine in her hand, but she assured her followers: “It’s juice...”
Speaking about her recently reprised role as Esther, Isabelle said she was “so excited” to get into character again.
She told Forbes : “I couldn’t think of anybody else possibly stepping into these shoes and doing it. It just wouldn’t have been possible.”
But she shared one of the main problems they faced when filming was trying to make a woman in her 20s look like a child.
“We have a whole team of lighting, forced perspective, and all the wardbrobe tricks, plus Julia Stiles, who plays my mother, is wearing these massive shoes.
“There is no CGI on my face and you can’t figure it out. That makes it click and I’m honestly just so excited for people to see it.”
