Orlando’s police and fire department personnel are now back on the road to respond to calls for service after briefly taking shelter due to powerful wind speeds overnight, as announced by the city of Orlando.

Despite the resumption of services, residents are advised to continue sheltering in place and to only call 911 in cases of emergency, according to the city’s statement. For less urgent reports, such as damage and downed trees, individuals are encouraged to contact the city’s Citizen Info Line.

Residents urged to stay indoors and call 911 only for emergencies.

The temporary sheltering of personnel was a precautionary measure taken in response to the severe weather conditions experienced in the area. The safety of both residents and emergency responders remains a top priority for the city of Orlando.

As the situation continues to unfold, residents are urged to stay informed through official channels and to follow any additional guidance provided by local authorities. By working together and following safety protocols, the community can navigate through challenging circumstances and ensure the well-being of all individuals.
