The AL East-leading Orioles have arguably been the biggest surprise story of the 2023 Major League Baseball season so far.
They’re currently riding a three game winning streak, and have won seven of their last 10 games to build a 2 1/2-game lead over the second place Rays.
Monday night they got some offensive help from prized rookie Jordan Westburg, who finally hit his first career home run 20 games into his debut season.
What made this home run even better was that Orioles’ announcer Ben McDonald basically called it, saying right before the first pitch that “it’s just a matter of time” before he hits one out.
Check this out:
"Westy's still looking for his first home run, speaking of home runs. It's just a matter of time."
