- Jeremy Renner has confirmed he will not feature in the forthcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film Avengers: Doomsday.
- Speaking at Comic Con Liverpool, Renner ruled out his return, saying: “ Doomsday , I’m not in, so the Avengers will probably lose, just so you know.” He jokingly added: “They didn’t call me, so it’s their fault they’re gonna lose”.
- Renner, who has played Clint Barton since 2011 across several blockbuster films and a Disney+ series, expressed enthusiasm for the theatrical re-release of Avengers: Endgame, which features new scenes and post-credit sequences introducing Doctor Doom.
- The upcoming ensemble film Avengers: Doomsday, slated for release in December 2026, is set to feature a massive crossover including original X-Men cast members, the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts, and the Wakandans.
- Renner previously disclosed that a second season of Hawkeye was delayed because Disney offered him half of his season-one salary following his recovery from a severe snowmobile accident in 2023, though he maintains he is eager to return if paid fairly.
